DJ CONFIRMED

DJ Tuli

Winner of the "Lifetime Salsa Award" at the Berlin Salsa Congress 2019. Runner-up for "Best Tropical DJ" at the Lukas Awards 2018. Originally from Venezuela, DJ Tuli has been spinning salsa, mambo, guaguancó, cha-cha, bachata and other Latin sounds nationally and internationally, working for some of the best salsa organisers in the UK as well as co-hosting the popular radio show called “The Latin Explosion” broadcasted live from the Colourful Radio studios at the Africa Centre - London.

She also regularly DJs in the UK for the likes of:

Pexava (London)
Salsa, Bachata Social Club (Reading)
House of Mambo (Watford)
Salsatricity (Herts)
Salsa Mish (St Albans)

And has been guest DJ in previous years for Palladium Mambo, Incognito Dance, SOS, Metrolatina, Salsa Contigo UK, Ritmo Latino, ABCD, as well has having had the privilege to DJ at one of London's most famous club: Ministry of Sound.

Tuli started listening and dancing to Salsa music from an early age; passion for which only grew stronger after coming to the UK, performing regularly at a Salsa venue back in the early 90's called "Down Mexico Way"....then in the 00's she joined the Mambolifestyle Dance Company (directed by Irene Miguel) which also led to dance performances across the UK and abroad.

Although, DJ-ing has been a fairly recent undertaking for Tuli, this has been a thoroughly enjoyable learning curve & she is committed to continuously update her knowledge in Latin music scene and becoming a well accomplished DJ.

DJ Willy

DJ Willy’s musical interests span from disco and house to rhythm and blues and Latin. It was back in 1980 when he first appeared as a DJ in his native country Suriname in South America. The club where he worked for almost eight years became the most popular one in the country. Willy moved to Holland in 1992 and one year later he was asked to work for the then-famous Latin club, Margarita’s, in Amsterdam, where he was spinning mainly salsa and R&B. As salsa was getting very popular in the 90s, he was invited to play music at major salsa parties in the Netherlands and Belgium. At present, DJ Willy is a favorite DJ at most of the major salsa events all over Europe. In addition to that, he has been spinning at a number of international salsa congresses outside of Europe as well. Willy his career as a DJ has been running for more than 40 years now and he still takes great pleasure to spin for the party crowd.
Due to his great contributions to the salsa scene he received the Berlin Salsa Congress Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016

DJ Sergi

DJ Sergi is a truly international DJ and musical influencer with a background that reflects through his experiences with other DJs, social dancing and congresses.

His love for music began at an early age (with exposure to a diverse array of genres), but he experienced it more profoundly with salsa. He started as a guest DJ at the most famous parties in Paris then he leveled up to start his own, LESALSACLUB. In a short time this party became one of the most famous salsa parties in Europe where dancers from all over the world come to enjoy French salsa scene.

In 2013, Sergi joined Mouaze to create the Saturday Mouaze Fever Party, a totally crazy event in one of the most beautiful concert halls in Paris. In 2016, continuing to offer quality evenings, he will have the opportunity to create a new evening in an unusual place in Paris, the CNIT of La Défense. To reflect the beautiful place, this evening will bear the sweet name of SalsaLicious.

When he’s not in Paris, Sergi regularly tours across France and abroad – often appearing at high profile events in diverse places such as Croatia, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Latvia and USA to name a few. Year after year, Sergi continues his work to maintain his role as an influencer in the salsa scene by taking risk at every events where he is scheduled. His collection grew quickly from CDs to vinyl. "A new way to listen to music, greater harmonic richness, but especially the opportunity to get my hand on yet never digitized albums and therefore very little known has drawn me to vinyl." You will definitely feel an artistic approach through his creative music selection.

Hi! My name is Hugo Leite. I am a DJ since 2002. I've found in latin music an intense passion and I love sharing it with others! Let's dance!

DJ Chris Beat

Chris Beat lives in Gijón (Spain). A lover of electronic music at first, he came into contact with Salsa in 2007 by a simple chance. From that point, on he felt a great interest in knowing in-depth those rhythms that had captivated him so much. To do so, since he is a great fan of technology and audio in general, he begins to acquire music both in digital format and in physical support.

Chris is the passionate director of the Guararé salsa session in Gijón. Apart from this, he has been invited.

DJ RSILVA

First of all, a music fan. That's my starting point. I have been passionate about music since I was very young, collecting CDs and looking for new music regularly. My first great love was progressive rock at 16 years old. Then came electronic music during college.

I then discovered Latin dance and Latin music at the same time, when I attended a dance class. I was 25 years old at that time. Dancing started to be part of my life. And because I always had this passion for music, I started listening to Latin music every day, discovering new music and falling in love day after day. Djing came very naturally, as I always felt like I was a good song selector at friends/family parties. I started playing music in 2017 and quickly started to be present at more and more parties. My first conference was in 2018, and I've been collecting great memories as a DJ everywhere I've been invited across Europe. The rest is history. It's a passion, and when you're passionate about something, it just runs through your veins. It's the reason you were born.

Learning every day, do your best and play for people. These are my main goals!

This sentence is our motto and our drive for the entire LISBON SALSA MARATHON experience!

On the 26th, 27th and 28th of April, Lisbon will host SALSA MARATHON.

It will be a weekend entirely dedicated to Salsa, where you can explore your passion for this Latin rhythm.

In order to provide you the finest experience, we will have onboard a set of TOP International DJs that will brighten up your dance. This is also our way to appreciate and cherish those who, with their music, so often brighten the dance floors.

To follow along with that, you will find a freshly inaugurated AMAZING dance venue! Provided with climatization, wooden floor customized for social dancing and a robust surrounding sound system.

In addition, food and soft drinks are included during the MARATHON.

Save the date and get ready for a weekend of social salsa dancing in beautiful and sunny Lisbon!

We listened to your feedback and here is one of the several requests made by Salseiros in the previous edition.

A unique party where everybody can enjoy this frenetic rhythm, Salsa!

But this option doesn’t stop there. You will also have the possibility, not only to listen and dance to the sounds of some of the best DJs we hired for this event, but you will also have the opportunity to dance and hang out with the marathon runners.
